If we want to listen to a faraway sound or to a soft whisper, we need silence around us and very alert ears. There is a similar soft sound within our body, which is the “nada of our existence”. Every human has his own vibration or sound within him. But we are very detached from our own vibration. To connect to this vibration, we need to start by just listening to the sound of our own breath. Our breath has a natural sound that is gifted to us right from our birth.
In our Pranayama and Savasana class, we use our ears as the sense organ to connect our mind to the sound of our breath. For this, extend the back of your ears and make them longer like Lord Ganesh, and release the front of the abdomen to the back.
In Shanmukhi Kriya, we hear a sound that resembles the waves of the ocean or the blowing of the wind. This is the Vyana vayu inside our body. If this Vayu is settled, we can reach a higher level of Pranayama.
