Rajani Yog Foundation (RYF) is a charitable organization established in 2013 by Mrs. Rajashree Tupe, who is also the founder and CEO of Shriyog Institute of Iyengar Yoga in Pune. The foundation is named in honor of Mrs. Rajashree’s spiritual guide, affectionately known as Aai (Mother).
We are dedicated to promoting education and alternative healthcare, particularly through yoga therapy, to various segments of society, including senior citizens, children, women, and individuals from underprivileged backgrounds. Our initiatives encompass a wide range of services, such as:
- Health Care through Yoga and therapeutic Yoga for those who cannot afford them
- Yoga Education through programs and scholarships for teacher training
- Women Empowerment through yoga workshops, literacy programs, and therapy sessions specifically designed for women.
- Yog se Arogya education in safe and effective yoga practices for the Indian Army
The foundation operates primarily through Mrs. Rajashree’s personal funds and occasional small donations from students and well-wishers. It is registered as a charitable organization under the Income Tax Act and has been granted the 80G sanction, allowing donors to receive tax exemptions for their contributions.
Rajani Yog Foundation (RYF) has undertaken several impactful projects aimed at promoting holistic well-being and education across various segments of society. Here are some of our notable initiatives:
- Sadhana Retreats
In collaboration with the Shriyog Institute of Iyengar Yoga, RYF offers “Sadhana Retreats,” which are customized, all-inclusive wellness programs. These retreats provide participants with opportunities for total rejuvenation and learning about yoga and spiritual practices.
- Publications
RYF has published educational materials to make classical yoga texts more accessible to modern readers. A significant project includes a five-volume series on the Dnyaneshwari, a commentary on the Bhagavad Gita by Shri Sudhakar Lalsare. This endeavor aims to present timeless wisdom in a format that resonates with contemporary audiences.
- Yoga Therapy Programs
The foundation conducts yoga therapy sessions tailored for individuals with specific health conditions. These programs are designed to aid physical and emotional recovery through personalized yoga practices. We offer these therapeutic sessions without any fees, or at a low cost ensuring accessibility for those in need.
- Yoga Education
RYF organises periodic workshops and lectures to educate the community on safe and effective yoga practices. We also provide financial support in the form of scholarships to deserving candidates aspiring to become yoga teachers, covering costs such as training, uniforms, and books.
- Women Empowerment Initiatives
Recognizing the unique health challenges faced by women, we offer specialised yoga workshops, literacy programs, and therapy sessions focused on women’s health. These initiatives aim to empower women by providing education about their bodies and psychological well-being during different life stages.
- SainyaYog
In partnership with the Punit Balan Group and Shriyog Institute, RYF has launched “SainyaYog,” a digital platform dedicated to providing authentic and comprehensive yoga education to the bravehearts of the Indian Army and their families. This program focuses on fostering holistic well-being among military personnel and their loved ones.
- Yog se Arogya Project
The “Yog se Arogya” project was undertaken in 2023 and 2024 to enhance the physical and mental health of soldiers across the borders. On the 9th International Yoga Day, the Shriyog Institute conducted extensive yoga sessions under this project, impacting over 25,000 Army personnel. A total of over 70000 army personnel benefited directly through these sessions over just 2 years.
Through these diverse projects, Rajani Yog Foundation strives to make holistic healthcare accessible to those in need, fostering a healthier and more empowered community.
