The Rajani Yog Foundation (RYF), in collaboration with the Shriyog Institute has undertaken significant initiatives to promote the well-being of Indian Army personnel and their families. One of the cornerstone projects in this endeavour is the “Yog se Arogya” (Health through Yoga) program.
Shriyog Institute, known for its expertise in Iyengar Yoga, brings its deep-rooted knowledge to this program, ensuring that participants receive authentic and impactful yoga training. By focusing on alignment, strength, flexibility, and breath control, these sessions help in stress management, injury prevention, and overall vitality.
Through this initiative, RYF and Shriyog Institute reaffirm their commitment to serving those who dedicate their lives to the nation, fostering wellness and resilience within the armed forces community.
Yog se Arogya
The “Yog se Arogya” 2023 – 2024 to enhanced the physical and mental health of soldiers through structured yoga sessions. On the 9th International Yoga Day, the Shriyog Institute conducted extensive yoga sessions under this project, impacting over 50,000 Army personnel. These sessions were designed to foster a culture of well-being and resilience among soldiers, emphasizing both physical fitness and mental health.
Shriyog Institute’s commitment to the Indian Army extends beyond this initiative. In Pune, the Prakriti Wellness Centre, a dedicated wellness hub for Army personnel and their families, continues to foster well-being and resilience. The institute also dedicated four months to teaching wellness to over 3,000 children from classes 8th and 9th at APS School, imparting the importance of physical and mental health. Specialised sessions were conducted at Command Hospitals, AICTS, and the Artificial Limb Centre in Pune, extending support to those in need. Additionally, sessions for the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) were held, recognizing the pivotal role of yoga in improving women’s health. With 25 years of experience in holistic wellness, Shriyog Institute has profoundly impacted over 100,000 soldiers, officers, veterans, and their families in just one year. By illuminating the path to wellness through yoga, the institute ensures that those who serve our nation can maintain their health, vitality, and well-being. The journey of Shriyog Institute with the Indian Army highlights the transformative power of yoga in managing physical and mental health, especially in challenging environments. Through this initiative, Shriyog Institute has truly embodied the essence of “Yog se Arogya” health through yoga.

- Yog Mahotsav along India-Pak LOC – Celebrating the spirit of yoga with army personnel stationed along the Line of Control.
- Vajr Yogi Project along J&K LOC – Enhancing resilience and endurance of soldiers through specialized yoga training.
- Yoga for High Altitudes (Leh & Ladakh) – Helping soldiers adapt to extreme altitudes with tailored yoga techniques.
- Daily Yoga at Prakriti Wellness Centre, Southern Command, Pune – Promoting holistic health with daily yoga sessions for armed forces personnel.
