Space, freedom, love, attachment, possession, laughter – these are a few words and feelings, usually used to describe happiness.
Some common statements we get to hear are, “when I am practicing asanas, I feel happy” or “when I experience space, I feel happy” or ” once I can afford that car/ house, I will be happy” or “when I marry this partner, I will be happy”.
Can this really be true?
Dnyaneshwari says ‘happiness is our original nature and we are seeking it since birth’.
We struggle throughout our lives to achieve happiness. Once our basic necessities of food, shelter and clothing are met, everything else is plain hoarding. So, we hoard and simultaneously, search for happiness. We need to understand the dichotomy of this approach.
